Blackpop’s New London Showroom Opens

Mary wallpaper in London showroom

Designers of breathtaking fabric and wallpaper, Blackpop, have officially opened their exciting new interiors boutique No. 39 Amwell Street in London EC1.

Blackpop’s collaboration with lighting designers Curiousa & Curiousa – places them on the edge of London’s design district, enhancing the buzz between creative Clerkenwell and highbrow Islington. Amwell Street is a well known beauty spot  for interior designers and shoppers alike. It’s the up and coming place for luxury fabrics, designer wallpapers and soft furnishings so No.39 will prove a popular addition to the village-style street, further firing the imaginations of interior designers.

Blackpop’s Director and Designer Maxine Hall said “We’re delighted to be part of the creative hub and have a base where customers can experience our wallpapers, fabrics and upholstered furniture first hand.”

Since launching in 2013, Blackpop’s impressive plaudits include collaboration with The National Portrait Gallery, being stocked at Liberty and winning ‘Best New Product’ at Decorex.

Blackpop’s elegantly distressed wallpapers, fabrics and furniture punk up the rich tapestry of the past to create opulent yet random anarchic patterns on richly figured fabric and wallpaper, creating intelligent and sumptuous designs of the future. Their unique upholstered vintage furniture and bespoke project services are also increasingly in demand from homeowners and interior designers.

Blackpop and Curiousa & Curiousa are a match made in heaven. Maxine and Esther of Curious & Curiousa share a passion for beauty, innovation and interior design. They are part of a new wave of fresh, independent, family run businesses who fly the flag for products made in the UK.

No. 39 Amwell Street is open Wednesday – Saturday 11:30-18:30pm or by appointment at other times – call the studio on 01332 600341 or 07896 575599 to arrange a personal consultation.
