As we continue to run through the UK's festival season, we thought we'd reveal some of the musical inspo that sits behind one of Blackpop's most loved designs.
From jazz to punk, disco to funk, it's safe to say that listening to music and experiencing live sessions, is something the whole team are everso slightly obsessed with.
The debut of our new 'Belle' sofa is no exception when it comes to artistic influence. Designed with sheer comfort and lounging in mind, this lovely two seater version above is upholstered in our 'Monk' cotton velvet and finished with buttoning and contrast piping.
Named after the pioneering American Jazz pianist and composer Thelonious Sphere Monk - whose unique improv style, often referred to as 'angular' and slow - Blackpop's Monk design boasts an inspired warm dark background palette, overlaid with pops of sharp accents and vibrant colour. With a slightly offbeat vibe, Monk's style of playfulness is reflected in this soothing yet bold twist on a classic Delph pattern.
