The International Interior Design Event of the Year Olympia, London 9-12 October |
Decorex was established in 1978 as a setting for high-end Interior Design professionals to get together, mingle and show off their latest designs and ideas.
As a 44 year old Design show, Decorex has had to evolve to fit the ever changing industry needs, championing quality, inspiration and connection.
This show is very close to our hearts here at Blackpop and we shall be showcasing lots of exciting new designs and products.
So please join us at Olympia to celebrate design in all its forms and we’ll introduce you to our collections in person. After a couple of years break, it feels great to be back - we’re really looking forward to seeing old friends and to meeting you!
New design 'Frederik' will be showing at Decorex
This year 'Carden Cunietti', world renowned for their dramatic and eclectic interiors, will be designing the 'Decorex Bar' and the 'V.I.P Lounge' will be a retro inspired delight by award winning architecture and interior designers 'De Rosee Sa'.
Blackpop can be found at stand No E165, sitting centrally between the Decorex Champagne bar and the V.I.P Lounge - a prime spot we think you'll agree!
'Galliot' Our Limited Edition, hand embroidered velvet Tapestry
Our 'Galliot' wall hanging will be making it Debut this year at Decorex.
The materials used to adorn this Tapestry include a marvellous collection of 'strand line' finds such as the 'little fish' which sit in a hand spun, hand dyed and hand knotted flax net.
The buttons and beads (some her grandmothers) are antique and the 'Molluscs' are hand spun 'singles' (not plied) using mulberry silk which has been hand dyed, stiffened and formed using gold thread and cotton neps.
Other additions are made using recycled vintage sari silk and hand spun hand dyed wool from British breeds of sheep, stiffened and formed. The Tapestry is then finished with a charcoal coloured, hand dyed ruche trim.

A fantastic Retro egg chair upholstered in new design 'Kado'
'Kado Level 1' will also be having its first outing, its so funky and edgy, inspired by the world of gaming. If you look closely you may even spot some Space Invaders!!! A true feast for the eyes.
